A while ago, I realized we didn't have a solid, stand-alone trivia on VSIXc. In realizing that, I made a decision that I would create a trivia addon that would allow for full customization of almost every aspect of the bot. It appears I have succeeded. I have made a trivia bot that does the following:
- Full compatibility on VSIXc
- Have custom fonts, colors and styles for the bot
- Set time periods for three hints, plus the total time given for the question to be answered
- The ability to read vowels and the last character of the answer in the question
- The ability to set your own point range. It can be anything from 0 to 99999
- A customized flood checker to see if the nickname is trying to flood the bot
I have done some thorough testing on this addon and it has worked well. The current trivia bots on VSIXc don't offer much customization, or are stand alone objects. This should be the first of it's kind for VSIXc. Questions and comments are welcome and encouraged. 1.2 Update - Added a !version identifier
- Added an echo answer option
- Added a !question identifier. When someone types !question, it repeats the asked question.
- Improved the process of giving hints, now compares lengths and determines hints based upon that.
